Spinach and Feta Dip with Shrimp

Follow my blog with Bloglovin It’s time to dilute the flooding of protein fudge, protein coconut macaroons and chocolate protein cookies with something savoury. Do you have friends? I do. Not many but we do. Do you have those friends who think everything tastes better with butter and cream? I do. Love them! Great people! So a couple of weeks ago me and Alex invited the butter-cream friends over for dinner. Besides making coconut cilantro chicken, rosemary roasted potatoes and a crisp watermelon & feta salad, I made…

Healthy Spinach Dip

I have been craving some cheesy and hot healthy spinach dip for a while now…Over 5 years I would say. Generally, any spinach dip recipe calls for a lot of mayo and/or cream cheese. So I have been avoiding it and honestly was super scared to make it. See, I’m not an appetizer girl because growing up we never served them, however nowadays I appreciate a healthy serving of baked spinach feta dip, eggplant feta dip or spinach and feta dip with shrimp accompanied by a glass of wine.

Crustless Spinach Feta Quiche

The Greek classic without the guilt and still full of flavour – crustless spinach feta quiche. High in protein, calcium & vitamin C. Only 110 calories and 3 WW points +. Essentially, it is unwrapped spanakopita baked as a pie. Just the filling, no pastry. Made with fresh herbs, light feta cheese and frozen spinach, this pie is a great healthy alternative to green cupcakes this St. Patrick’s Day.

Spinach Salad with Goat Cheese and Candied Pecans

I have been making this spinach salad with goat cheese and candied pecans for years. Every time I make it, it reminds me of a dinner at a high-end restaurant. This is how classy this salad is with fresh raspberries, crumbles of soft goat cheese and candied pecans. I always have a box or two of organic fresh spinach and a box of organic mixed baby greens on hand. I add spinach to smoothies (superfood green smoothie), salads (spinach mushroom salad), casseroles (spinach chicken quinoa casserole), meats (brie…

Magic Bullet Green Smoothie

This magic bullet green smoothie recipe has been inspired by the recent popularity of juicing and by my neighbours. In an attempt to lose my belly fat I talked to my neighbour who trains NHL players and his wife who looks amazing. Among couple suggestions he gave me was juicing particularly vegetable juicing. Now, anybody who knows me knows I’m against juices particularly fruit ones. Homemade are a little bit better than store-bought ones but not by much. You are way better off eating the whole fruit or vegetable full…
