Healthy Waffle Recipe

How to make a Healthy Waffle Recipe with nutritious ingredients. Wholesome whole wheat flour with no refined sugar for an easy breakfast that can be made ahead and toasted from frozen for busy mornings!

Whole wheat or spelt flour Any milk Eggs Maple Syrup Oil or melted butter Pure vanilla extract Baking powder Salt

Ingredients You Need

Add eggs, milk, maple syrup, melted butter or oil, vanilla extract, baking powder and salt to a bowl. Whisk until smooth.

Add whole wheat or spelt flour, stir well until combined. Preheat waffle maker. Spray with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking. Make waffles according to your waffle maker's instructions.

For crispier waffles, cook a bit past the green Ready indicator. Remove waffles from waffle iron, top with butter, maple syrup and fresh berries.

Enjoy waffles while hot! For additional crispiness toast in toaster or to keep hot while cooking remaining waffles, place in warm oven.

Refrigerate in air circulating container for up to a week. Fully cook, cool completely, and freeze in an airtight container for up to 6 months. Toast in toaster oven from frozen.
