Instant Pot Frozen Chicken
Instant Pot Frozen Chicken or IP chicken is rotisserie style whole chicken cooked in your electric pressure cooker without thawing with 5 mins prep. It comes out super juicy!

Ingredients You Need
Rinse frozen whole chicken with cold water and pat dry with paper towel. Drizzle with oil and using your hands rub it all over chicken.
Sprinkle half of each spice on one side of chicken: salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika and oregano.
Flip chicken and season other half. Transfer chicken to large plate. To Instant Pot, add water and trivet. Place chicken on trivet inside pot.
Close the lid, set and press Pressure Cook on High Pressure or Manual. Cooking time will vary based on chicken weight and Instant Pot size.
Set pressure vent for Sealing, after pot comes to pressure pin will pop up and lock. When chicken is ready, Instant Pot will beep, display will say OFF and then Natural Release.
Open the lid and you will have the juiciest and most flavourful IP chicken ever. Serve however you like, shred for meal prep, freeze for later, save bones for bone broth.
3 lbs whole chicken – 50 minutes. 4 lbs whole chicken – 60 minutes. 5 lbs whole chicken – 70 minutes.

Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Freeze up to 3 months.
