Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies are crispy outside and gooey inside, and require no chilling the dough. Skip the oven and satisfy that cookie craving fast!
In a large bowl, add butter and sugar; beat with a mixer until creamy.
Add egg and vanilla extract, beat until combined. Add baking soda and flour; beat until cookie dough is formed. Add chocolate chips and stir with a spatula.
Preheat air fryer to 320 degrees F. Cut out parchment paper to fit in the bottom of the basket and place after preheating.
Scoop 2 tablespoons of cookie dough, roll into a ball and place in air fryer 1.5-2 inches apart. I can fit 4-5 at a time.
Air fry for 8-9 minutes or until a bit golden and looking ready. Let rest in air fryer for 2-3 minutes, then carefully remove with a small spatula to cool off for another 15 minutes on a cooling rack.
Repeat with remaining cookie dough.
Notes
Store: If you like chewy cookies, store in a cool dry place in an airtight container for up to 5 days. If you like crispy cookies, store them in a ventilated container.
Freeze: Air fry, cool cookies completely, place in a resealable plastic bag or container and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw on a counter for a few hours.
Unsalted butter: Add 1/4 teaspoon salt.
If cookies are spreading too much: Chill dough in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Whole wheat flour: Use 1 1/4 cups. Don't use any other flour besides white or whole wheat. Measure flour correctly by scooping it with a spoon into a measuring cup and then leveling with a knife.
