These Ground Beef Tacos are made with perfectly seasoned meat in a crunchy corn shell and topped with all the fixings. Ready in only 20 minutes this taco beef recipe is great for a simple and delicious dinner any day of the week.
Add a tablespoon of olive oil to a large skillet and bring the heat to medium. Then add in the diced onion and stir until it becomes translucent. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
Then bring the heat to medium-high and add in the ground beef and minced garlic.
Stir the beef until it’s about 90 percent done. Then add in the following spices: chili powder, cumin, paprika, dried oregano, onion powder, salt, pepper, and a pinch of cayenne.
Let the ground beef finish off cooking in the spices for an additional 2-3 minutes. Then taste and add more salt if necessary. The saltiness is all personal preference.
Now fill your tacos with the cooked taco beef and add toppings like shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar, sour cream, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice. Serve these tacos immediately for the best flavor.

Reheat: Place the meat in a skillet for a few minutes over medium heat, just enough to warm through. Then assemble your tacos and enjoy!
Use ground chicken or turkey for a healthier alternative. Either works well in place of the beef.
